The AngelTech Innovation Summit launched on Monday 20 April as a natural evolution of the previous Executive Strategy Summit - broader in scope, more forward-looking, and built around strategic conversations rather than passive presentations. Held at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Brussels ahead of the main AngelTech week, the Summit brought together senior leaders from across the compound semiconductor, photonic integrated circuits, power electronics, and advanced packaging industries, alongside entrepreneurs, analysts, and funding experts.
The new format created space for strategic discussions around where the industry is heading and how organisations can position themselves within it. Across three interactive sessions and one dedicated collaboration forum, delegates explored the macro forces shaping the four communities AngelTech serves - from AI-driven demand and capital flow through to regulation, scalability, and the long-term roadmap for materials, devices, packaging, and systems. The new evening Rump Session added a different dynamic - informal, open, and highly engaging - creating an environment where conversations could continue well beyond the agenda.
The Summit set up the wider AngelTech week perfectly, with many of the strategic themes raised on Monday picked up and developed across the four conferences that followed. The Innovation Summit's debut as a rebranded, broader-scope event delivered exactly what the format was designed for: focused, high-trust dialogue between the people shaping the next phase of the industry.
